That bothered me. The people who've supported this brand from the beginning shouldn't be the ones missing out — they should be the first to know.
So I built something to fix that.
What is the AB Sports Insiders group?
It's a private WhatsApp group for AB Sports customers and followers. Inside, I post new drops the moment stock arrives — before it goes on the website. I run a weekly vote where members pick which product goes on special that week. And I share group-only deals that never get posted publicly on TikTok or Instagram.
It's free to join. No subscriptions. No spam. I post once a day at most.
Why WhatsApp?
Because that's how South Africa communicates. Email gets ignored. Social media feeds are unpredictable. WhatsApp gets seen. If I'm dropping one pair of boots or a limited colourway, I want the people who actually care to see it first — not whoever happens to be scrolling at the right time.
What happens in the group week to week?
Monday I post what's in stock. Wednesday I run the weekly vote — usually two or three shirt or product options and members tap to choose which one goes on special. Friday the winner drops. On some days I share a free training tip or a behind-the-scenes look at what's coming. That's it.
